Is Rheo a HIPAA-Compliant AI tool for chiropractors?

Yes. Rheo meets all HIPAA requirements to keep your patient data safe. All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. AI-generated SOAP notes and transcripts are never shared with third-party AI providers and are not used to train external AI models. Your information stays within your secure, integrated ChiroTouch solution at all times.

Does Rheo store audio recordings?

No. Rheo transcribes speech in English in real time and stores only the text transcript and chart note in the patient record.

How accurate is Rheo’s transcription and chart note generation?

Rheo’s voice recognition is optimized for chiropractic terminology and natural conversational speech in English. Accuracy depends on factors like microphone quality, speaking clarity, and background noise. For best results, use a lapel mic and review each note for completeness before finalizing.

Do I need patient consent to use Rheo?

Yes. You are responsible for getting any required consent from patients and anyone else who may be recorded, as well as providing any notices or disclosures the law requires. Consent rules can vary by state, and some states require all parties to agree before recording. We recommend reviewing your state’s laws and consulting with your legal advisor to make sure your consent process is compliant.

Where can I review Rheo’s AI usage policies?

Can I use Rheo in an open adjusting area?

Yes, though open bay environments can present challenges for AI scribe. Because multiple patient–provider conversations may happen nearby, there is a risk of cross-conversation overlap being captured in the transcript.

To improve accuracy:

Use directional microphones (instead of omnidirectional) to help isolate your voice from background noise.
Directional lavalier microphones are a strong option since they clip close to the speaker and reduce background pickup.

If accuracy in an open bay is not acceptable, you may also choose to record the visit and transcribe afterward, when background noise will not interfere.

All transcripts remain securely stored within ChiroTouch in compliance with HIPAA.

Does Rheo overwrite my existing documentation?

No. Rheo appends generated content to your chart note without overwriting diagnosis codes, charges, or other manual entries.

Can Rheo work with CT InForms and self-check-in?

Absolutely. Rheo complements your existing intake workflows by incorporating patient-reported information into the note, reducing manual re-entry.

Will Rheo alert me if something is missing?

No, not yet but we are looking for ways to add enhancements as the product evolves.

Can I customize Rheo’s chart note templates?

Not yet, but customization is in development. For now, Rheo uses structured templates built for chiropractic SOAP notes.

What equipment do I need to use Rheo?

Rheo works out of the box with most computers and tablets using the built-in microphone. For best results, especially when using voice features, we recommend upgrading to a higher-quality mic:

Private exam or treatment rooms: A tabletop conference microphone captures voices clearly.
Open adjusting areas or when moving around: A clip-on lapel microphone helps reduce background noise.

Does Rheo learn from my individual usage?

No. Rheo does not learn from individual users. ChiroTouch uses aggregated, anonymized feedback to improve the experience over time.
