ChiroTouch is pleased to announce the winner of its 2019 national scholarship, a program founded to benefit chiropractic students enrolled in their school’s clinical clerkship. The ChiroTouch Scholarship fund has awarded its 2019 grand prize to Dr. Joshua Wheeler.

Originally from Alabama, Dr. Wheeler graduated from Life Chiropractic College West this past December and has since relocated to Tennessee where he joined the ranks of a thriving chiropractic practice. For Dr. Wheeler, chiropractic is a family affair as his mother is also a practicing chiropractor back home in Alabama.

In January, Dr. Wheeler traveled to the ChiroTouch headquarters in San Diego, Calif., where he toured the office, met members of our executive team, including CEO George Ahn, and worked with our product and development team.

The scholarship was established by ChiroTouch on the principle of making a positive impact within the chiropractic profession. Candidates for this year’s award were asked to discuss how they will use technology to assist them in the delivery of patient care and how technology supports positive patient outcomes. Essays were considered based on the candidate’s creative and thoughtful response to a personal case they have either worked on during their clinic education or a case presented during that time.

Nearly 40 students from across the nation applied for the scholarship. Applications were reviewed by a panel of chiropractors and chiropractic influencers and scored across several factors. The essay that received the highest score was deemed the winner.
