Many providers have expressed concern over the past few months about navigating and reporting to the Quality Payment Program. If putting your clinic’s action plan in place while still practicing and running your business seems daunting, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has you covered.
A lot of resources have been developed to help you understand the new program and put you at an advantage for reporting in future program years. These resources can even help you put yourself in the position to receive more bonuses through the QPP! Currently, there is buzz around the site CMS created to distribute information about the QPP: qpp.cms.gov.
Some of the resources on this website include:
- The MIPS Quick Start Guide
- NPI look up for eligibility
- Information on reporting as an individual
- Information on reporting as a group
- Concise lists of measures and activities
This website provides regional resources that enable you to gain a better understanding of the information that applies to you. Contact QPPSURS@IMPAQINT.com for questions, or use the Technical Assistance Resource Guide to find an organization in your area.
You must work in a practice of 15 of fewer clinicians to qualify. Resources will be granted to those in underserved communities first. However, if you’re in a large practice of more than 15 clinicians, CMS offers 14 Quality Innovation Networks-Quality Improvement Organizations (QIN-QIOs) across the nation. Visit the QIO Program website to get more information or to contact a QIN-QIO.
With the nationwide shift to Quality healthcare already in the works, CMS is listening and offering many avenues for success in 2017 and beyond.
