We claim that the consequence of adjusting the spine is improved neuro-performance through the correction of vertebral subluxation(s). We further assert that only a minority of the nervous system is used to experience pain, hence we don’t rely on pain as an indicator as to whether or not an individual may benefit from an adjustment. The “missing link” in many chiropractic practices is contemporary technology that is congruent with the clinical intent of the chiropractor and that simultaneously reveals in understandable terms the vital role and benefit of chiropractic care for patients and prospective patients.

Using Technology to Build Your Practice

xrayscreen200I remember watching Star Trek when I was growing up and marveling at many of the high tech devices that were used on the show. They were using cell phone-like gadgets, hand held diagnostic devices, and computers, way ahead of their time. All those amazing things that they had dreamed up then are now part of our everyday lives. Modern marvels are daily becoming mainstream tools, and we need to be aware of these innovations in order to keep up with the times. Spending money on technology is always an investment and should never be seen as an expense.

Creating User-Friendly Technology

Everywhere we look today we are surrounded by technological advances that have been created to make our lives easier. The best of these devices are so good at what they do that you are not even aware of how sophisticated they are. It is easy to take for granted the amount of engineering that went into creating the cell phone you are using, the remote for your radio or TV, as well as your watch. We have come to rely heavily on many of these technologies to make our lives simpler and create opportunities for us to automate many of the tasks we do each day. Many of the modern marvels we use today have simplified our lives in ways that it would be hard to imagine living without them. Doing tasks like laundry used to be an all day ritual that required someone’s complete attention. Today it can be done at the same time as you are doing something else.

The key component of a device that is a true benefit is that it takes a mundane task and turns it into something that does not require a great deal of effort and focus. The best technologies are the ones that we use to do those jobs we hate so we can concentrate on the tasks we enjoy. This has been the intent behind the creation of computers and software that we use in our offices from the very beginning.
